If you have a problem with viewing a website on your computer, it's really useful to us to be able to see what it looks like.
If we ask you for a screen shot of the website that you're having problems with, here's how to do it:
Windows
- Open the website that's causing problems
- Press the PrtSc or Print Screen button on your keyboard. It's usually on the top row to the right of F12.
- Open your image editing program, such as Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. If you don't have one, you can download Irfanview for free.
- Open the Edit menu and click the Paste item.
- If you're using Paint, you may be asked if you want to enlarge the image - select Yes.
- Open the File menu and choose Save or Save As.
- Save the file to your computer - if you're not sure where to save it, choose the Desktop.
- Email the file to us.
iPhone / iPad
- Open the website that's causing problems
- Hold down the home button and click the power button at the same time
- The phone will take a screen shot of the page and save it on your camera roll
- Email the file to us.
Android phone
- Open the website that's causing problems
- Hold the volume-down button and power button at the same time
- The phone will take a screen shot of the page and save it into your photos
- Email the file to us.
Mac
- Open the website that's causing problems
- On your keyboard, press the three keys Command , Shift and 3 all at once.
- Your Mac will save a file called screenshot.png to your desktop.
- Email the file to us.
